	Belur Math is the headquarters of the twin organizations of Belur Math Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. Spread over several acres of land, it is a pilgrimage for people from different faiths and religions. It is situated at a distance of 6 kms from the Howrah station and located on the bank of the river Hooghly. The Math provides a picturesque view of Ramakrishna temple which was built in the year 1899.
